Hi and welcome to my Blind 'n Style home fashions blog. My name is Jessy, and I've had an interest in interior design and landscaping for as long as I can remember! I love decorating my friends' and relatives' homes, as well as my own. I decided to start up this blog in order to keep a record of my projects, share tips and ideas, and post other interesting news and information related to the home decorating and interior design industry. I welcome feedback from my readers, so please tell me what you'd like to see here!
In the meantime, Jessy's Blind Style .com will include my thoughts on:Everytime I start browsing New York real estate, I have to remind myself how much I didn't enjoy living in the city when I was going to college. I hated taking public transportation, lugging groceries home from blocks away, and dealing with the hustle and bustle of the city on daily basis. Even though I had planned on moving into a New York apartment and staying there for the rest of my life, I only lasted about a week in the university dorm before I was ready to go home!
I was surprised to find myself missing grass and trees and my car -- oh how I missed my car!! I really couldn't imagine myself raising children in the city, and I was repeadly shocked at how the downtown area of the city surely did sleep -- by around 5pm every night!! By the time winter rolled around, I found myself never wanting to leave the dorm. It was just too cold and windy between the buildings.
Of course, I still have fantasies about life in the city. Now that I've had years and years away, I think it could be fun. I get deluded by advertisements for afforable apartments, yummy restaurants, and exciting shows. Still, I'm thinking a trial run is in order . . . did you know you can actually rent New York furnished housing for short-term? That way, I could enjoy the city for a month or two and leave when I got tired of it all!

We desparately need a new bathtub -- a bigger one since the kids always want to get in with Mike and I, and four people in a tub is just too many. I was looking at an online bathroom shop and instead of finding tubs, I got sidetracked by the amazing showers. There are so many different types of shower options, like shower enclosures, fancy taps and faucets, and some really extraordinary shower heads. I suppose I can rationalize buying some shower accessories when we replace the tub. After all, ours is actually a tub and shower combo; might as well make the whole thing look shiny and new.
I really love the look of the cloudburst shower head, but I wish I could try it out before buying it. I like really high water pressure, and I am afraid a shower head like that wouldn't have enough pressure for me to wash my hair and feel comfortable. Do you have any experience with them? Comment and let me know!
